could Apple in a software update add some feature to block offensive content from the YOU TUBE portion of the phone? I am worried my children will pick up the phone and see something they shouldnt. Apple has been responsible in the past by allowing parental blocks in iTunes so the request is not too far fetched.

I'm with you Chris. I would like to have a feature to block inappropriate content too. There is plenty of mislabeled content on YouTube that can be retrieved with an non-explicit search.

You can request features like this at http://www.apple.com/feedback/

I don't mind my kids watching a movie on my iPhone while I'm there, but YouTube is too risky without some kind of filter.

I will still watch with them, but the filter will give me some confidence that nothing inappropriate will pop-up in a search while they can see it.

BTW. Asking for a feature like this is not being an irresponsible parent. Nobody said the feature is supposed to replace parental involvement and control.
