Can iTunes sync with MP3 players *OTHER* than an iPod or Smartphone?

Someone gave me an MP3 Player from a company called Lenox, model MP-556. I don't seem to be able to connect this device to my iTunes library to import the music into the player. Is there a list somewhere of compatible non-Apple devices that can be synch'ed with iTunes?

iTunes for Windows is only compatible with the iPod range, the iPhone and the iTunes enabled phones from Motorola. You may be able to get your player working with the aid of a third party helper program. Have a look at this one and see what you think: iTunes Agent -Windows
