4G ers

I can't understand the comments about 4G owners being double screwed. Have the phones stopped working? As I understand it, they should still get the $100 credit. If the phone breaks while still under warranty, Apple should either fix it or replace it with what will be a BETTER phone. No, I DON'T work for Apple, I'm just so baffled that this is causing so much anger.
