Handwriting - Dakota

I lost 'Handwriting - Dakota'. How can I get it back?

Every time I open iWeb I'm notified that Handwriting - Dakota is missing. I did have trouble with Garageband, so I loaded iLife several times. Handwriting - Dakota was there when I first used iWeb, but since it went missing I converted all my handwriting fonts in this particualr template to something else. However I still get the 'Dakota Missing' warning when I start iWeb. I didn't lose any other fonts from my real FONTS folders, so where are the iLife fonts?

I did a custom install of iLife to try to find the fonts, but with no luck.

I recently did an "archive and install" and the same issue occured to my iWeb as well. Fortunately, the archive and install makes a back up ("Previous System") of your old system which contains your old Library folder. In that old library folder their should be a "Fonts" folder... look in that folder to find your missing fonts.

Hope that helps.

Thank you. That solved it.

But this brings up more questions...
why did spotlight not find it? Does it not search the whole hard drive? "Previous System" is not hidden or inaccessible to my user account.
Is there a more thorough drive search utility than Spotlight?
And why did only one of the twenty or so fonts go missing when I reinstalled my system?
Is that font only part of an older version of iWeb? If so why would a new template use it?

My issue is resolved, so I really don't need an answer to these to go on with life 😉
