iTunes Deleted Playlist - Restore from iPhone?

Hi There,

I just accidently deleted a playlist from iTunes on my iMac. It still exists on my iPhone. Is there anyway to make it take the playlist from the iPhone and put it back on the iMac or must it automatically erase it from the iPhone because it has been deleted from the iMac?

Same question here; being too eager to install Leopard (got it today woohoo!), I wiped the hard drive a tad too early 😟
Backup of everything, except ... iTunes ...

Message to Apple to "fix" this in iTunes ... please 🙂

Unfortunately, no, there is no way to recover playlists.

You can back them up, however, and it's always a good idea to do so. I also like creating smart playlists because they can reconstruct themselves even if the songs get moved around, etc. (But back these up as well -- the iTunes Library.itl and the ITunes Music Library.xml are the relevent files for backup).

They won't. The iPod is designed to not sync bidirectionally to keep it from being a conduit for piracy. You won't see this feature any time soon...

OK, I found a good working solution to my problem: PodWorks!

It's $8, and supports the iPhone!!!!!

I restored my entire content from my iPhone back to iTunes after I had wiped my computer - works like a charm!
It not only restores your music, but also the playlists if you'd like.
