I am having the same problem except with safari loading google and hotmail. I have tried emptying the cache, emptying the history, upgrading to the latest safari, clearing all cookies, making sure no proxies are checked under the advanced tab under safari preferences, and rebooting a million times to try and solve this problem but I've had no luck. My internet works perfectly fine except for these two pages.
I'm sorry I can't answer your question but I am hoping someone can!

Hi

I'm having exactly the same problem with Google not working on my Mac.

It started about a week ago with Gmail not working, and has now spread to all Google sites and even sites that use Google Analytics.

I've deleted cache, cookies etc..

It works fine on my pc from my home network, but not my mac,.. i've not changed anything.. it's just stopped.

Can anyone help?

This is the best help i've found so far.. http://www.macfixitforums.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=tiger&Number=829683&Forum= &Words=&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=1day&Main=824170&Search= true

thanks

There are instructions on the site for trying it out on your Mac. Basically, you either tell your router to use these alternative DNS servers, or if you don't use a router you tell you Mac to use them via System Preferences.

I was having this same problem. Here's what I did, and it seems to be fixed:

First, I made my wireless network open. Google sites finally load!

Second, I switched the password protection to be WEP/128-bit instead of WPA2. Google sites still load. Secure network, Google loads.

Hopefully this will work for other people having this problem. Having to buy a new router for something that's an Apple software bug is ludicrous.
