My mother recently received one of these cameras for her birthday. It was purchased because it advertises itself as being UVC compliant. I understand any OS after 10.4.9 has UVC camera support however she has no joy getting a picture.
I am her tech support on this but she is in Scotland and I am in Australia. Any help you can give me will be gratefully received.
She has a Mac Mini single core running OS 10.4.10.
Thanks,
Grant

I have looked at a great many forums looking for an answer to my original question on this. The general consensus seems to be that this is a software problem associated with the Intel version of OSX. The camera works as advertised on non-Intel macs. I am guessing we have to wait for Apple to fix this but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Just bought one of these after seeing the review in Macworld (UK).
Same problems as everyone else, but on a 17"G4 PB. So it's not only an Intel problem.
System Profiler - Ok; Skype - recognised but no image; iChat with iChatUSBCam demo - ditto; QuickTime Player (Pro) with macam.0.9.1 - ditto; macam demo app says 'no camera'.
