Lost OS X Tiger disc (MacBook)

Hi there,

I have an issue in that I can no longer locate my OS X Tiger disc that came with my MacBook. I do have AppleCare for it, is there a way to get a replacement and pay the media costs? I'd like to clear the OS and start fresh, but without the disc I'm stuck... Any ideas? Thanks,

Mike

Put your MB in target mode and plug it into the iMac. Install onto your MB drive.

That's not going to work, FL_MacTech. The iMac is running a PowerPC version of OS X. The MacBook Pro requires the Intel version of OS X it came with.

Mike,

You can use the coupons that came with your Mac to get new disks. For one coupon and (I believe) $20 + shipping, Apple will send you a new set of disks that are specifically for your Mac. Call Apple customer service to find exactly how it works.
