Apple drops picture of Classic from Camera Connector compatibility chart.

Suddenly, Apple has dropped the little photograph of the 'Classic iPod' under the Camera Connector - on the Store page - to show that it's compatible with this accessory. Why? BECAUSE IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE!!! Thanks Apple - your a little late since I bought mine already for the express purpose of downloading photographs from my Nikon D200. Never mind - I still love my G5!!!

Indeed. I admit a bit of disillusionment about this myself since I also checked and double checked exactly that before heading out to get my iPod Classic today, and I also asked the sales associate while I was buying the iPod if it would work (she said yes - I don't hold it against her at all - the associates are just grunts like the rest of us after all) and she said yes.

I was lucky, though, in that they let me trade mine in for a 5G. 🙂
