Ringtones not showing up in iTunes

I have not been able to create ringtones with iTunes. The ringtone icon is not even showing up. Is there some special trick I don't know about?

This is very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

PowerMac G5, 17" PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

When you update to iTunes 7.4, you will notice a Ringtones tab in the iPhone screen. Until the Ringtones are officially rolled out next week, this tab doesn't do anything.

where did you find this information? i've been frustrated too, looking for a function that's advertised but non-existent.

that's not true. the ringtone tab IS activated (i know because i just used it). being able to buy ringtones will be available next week.
