USING ITUNES WITH WINDOWS 2000 PRO? HELP?

My computer has windows 2000 pro installed, this will not allow me to install itunes for my daughter's ipod shuffle. Is there any other way around this? I need to create a music player/library more for our own cd collection, but would like the option to buy songs as well. Cannot use windows media player, as it sounds like chipmunks. Is not the computer, have reinstalled media playe. The inbuilt cd player works fine to play songs, just cannot create library. Any ideas?? Anyone???

I assume that you bought the new iPod Shuffle for your daughter. That is not compatible with iTunes available for Windows 2000. So unless you upgrade her operating system to XP at least, you will not be able to use the shuffle with iTunes.
Research the net, if you can find some third party software that could be used with your shuffle, but you run the risk of Apple denying warranty for your shuffle if not used with the recommended software.
