Play movie on iphone through TV???????

Not really, but you can move the movie to your Imac and play it thought Itunes and into your tv via HDMI.

oh yes you can. i just got this cable from apple stores, that has the component, audio and usb, that works just fine with my hd tv. now as far as playing music on your tv, just start a slide show, double click on home button to open iphone hit play and bingo, i guess the requirement is to have some video output in order for the sound to go out as well

To avoid some confusion. The original thread and reply were back in September, prior the the 1.1.1 update coming out that added the ability to use those cables.

I am using the old, original TV hook-up cord that came with my iPod photo. With it I am able to get audio through my TV speakers, but no video.

Is there a setting I need to change or do I need to buy the new cord?
