Differences between iPhone & iTouch

Simply comparing the tech specs available on Apple's website would quickly answer this question, without the need of posting here.

The iPod touch is basically an iPhone without the cell phone. From what I've seen of the specifications, the iPod touch does not have any functions that the iPhone lacks.

Make that an iPhone minus cell phone and Mail.

The touch cant do sms, email, take pictures, google maps or any of the phone funtions, voice mail, etc..

agree on the dictionary part. Still can't send German SMS due to spell checker. No reason that this gets ported to iPod touch but not iPhone!

the reason it is on the iPod Touch and not the iPhone is because the iPhone is only avaliable in the US, and since English is the country's language it only comes in English (for now)...the iPod Touch will be released worldwide so it is localized in several different countries

That was a bonehead move by Apple, as there is no official language in the United States, hence why forms and ballots must be translated into the many different languages of the land.

Yep, it is a pain to SMS or email in German with the constant English auto-correct ...;-)
