3g Nano -- No Music During Workout?

So, I just got a new Nano and the Nike stuff. I used it for the first time this morning and while all the running tracking stuff worked just fine (kept my pace, announced the mileage in my headphones, etc.), it wouldn't play any music through. It acts like it's playing the songs (gives the song/artist listing in the right place on screen), but the only audio I get is the mileage announcer. The Nano plays music just fine otherwise. Anyone have any thoughts?

Good news! On my run this morning, I systematically went through the only options I could think of...

1. Changed Playlists -- no effect
2. Changed Voice Announcer from Female to Male -- no effect
3. Changed Playlist again after changing Announcer -- success!

Then I even changed the Announcer back to Female and it still worked. Hopefully this is a one-time thing and I won't have to do it every time I run (if I remember, I'll update this thread with that finding), but regardless, it seems to have worked.

This doesn't address how the new armband won't accommodate the sensor you have to plug into bottom of the Nano, but that's another thread entirely 🙂

Wait... it doesn't? I came upon a thread on Nike's site saying it did so I had planned to purchase one. Now I am confused. You confirm it does not accommodate the sensor?

For what it's worth, on my run today, I had to do the exact same thing again (switch to Male voice and switch playlists (and then I switched back to the Female voice, which I prefer)) to get the music to play through. Annoying! Hopefully Apple/Nike will come out with a bug fix soon b/c otherwise it works great.

And I didn't realize that about the armband. That dude at the Apple store was woefully misinformed. Thanks! 🙂

I too can only get music to play in shuffle mode. I select "basic", then "playlists", then my playlist and it just plays all songs shuffled.

I did fins a workaround by starting my playlist from the normal music menu, then go to nike+ipod, select the workout, select "now playing".

Apple really dropped the ball with quality assurance on the nike+ipod playlist.

I can finally listen to music on my new 3g Nano and Nike+ Sport Kit! I took everyone's advice and selected the playlist through the Music menu and then went into NIke+. However, I am not getting any spoken feedback. I have changed the settings from Male to Female to off (and it still doesn't work). I've resorted to hitting the center key when I want to know my stats. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
