I to am awaiting delivery of a nice new shiny 20 inch Intel iMac...

I look at it like this.

Think how many they must be selling, then look here at actually how many
are reporting problems.

I read horror stories about the eMac screen and picture when they where the big thing a few years ago. My eMac has not had any problems like the ones that I read at the time.

Sit back, relax, and await the arrival of your nice new iMac, I know I am 🙂

Go visit an Apple store. All of them that I have seen exhibited the problem. The sales people even admit it. It's not just isolated to these boards. Google 'iMac gradient'. All of the Apple-related discussions have threads on it.
