Vim CTAGS on MacOS-X

Hi

I'm trying to get CTAGS going on my powerbook. Its downloaded and compiled successfully but I'm having a few issues.

Firstly, should ctag be run against $JAVA_HOME/src.jar ?, I dont quite understand where the source documentation is on my mac (and yes I have downloaded the java developer documentation).

And secondly, from what I have been able to find out CTAG look up on vim would be done with
ctrl-]

the problem is that ] is made using option key, now if I hold down ctrl+option the I get a "9" instead of a bracket.

I have gotten intellisense going on vim and would love to get CTAGS going as well. Knowledgable people will recognize that I am a novice at this but I am hoping that there are kind souls out there in cyberspace.

Thanks

Pb G4, Mac OS X (10.4.9)
