My ringtone doesn't sync

My ringtone doesn't sync

I just bought a ringtone and I have it in my ringtones folder in my computer but whenever I try to sync it to my iPhone it doesn't appear inside the ringtones list.

any one knows what's going on?

I do not get any error messages it just doesn't show.

powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Click the Ringtone library in the left-hand column. Then double-click the ringtone to authorize it with iTunes. Then sync again.

Also going to the store menu, and choosing "Authorize Computer" will work.

my rintone doesnt sync eithier- I authorized the computer - the song plays in the ring tone list - the ring tone is selected in the sync list - I've rebooted itunes - ive synced the phone a dozen times- what elese can i do?

Are you getting the error message about iTunes not being authorized for this ringtone, or a different error message?

sorry to butt in, but every time I try to sync the ringtones it tells me my computer not allowed to play the song.Any suggestions,would be greatly appreciated.Sue

Go to the Store menu at the top of the iTunes screen, and then click on "Authorize Computer", and enter your iTunes Store account information.

Then try syncing your ringtones again.

If you are still getting the same error, let us know.

No error message at all. I re-authorized my computer. I can select the ring tone in the ITunes finder and play it. I Sync the phone but the Ring Tones don't appear in the list. Have tried select all and also Sync Selected - nothing

I have a question for you Larry...When you went on iTunes and purchased the "song" did you then click on the bell after it had downloaded and select the segment of the song that you wanted to create as a ringtone?

You have to create and save your ringtone after purchasing the song online. Not saying that you did or didnt but that info is missing in your comments. Hope it helps

Yeah, I edited the song and saved it. I can play it in the Itunes library and its in the sync list but it never imports to the phone- strange

Exact same thing happens to me and I have done all of the above suggested solutions. Reauthorized, double clicked in my library, everything. It appears under ringtones but does not transfer to phone. Any other suggestions?

well Ifinally got my ring tones to sync. My Iphone had not been syncing pod cast and other updates- i didnt know why. So I did a total restore - then it would not sync my ical- shut that off would sync everthing else. Turns out doesnt like the dates with reaccuring dates- shut that off works fine- relabled the calendar and put them in day by date syncs fine-

All in all what a pain in the ***!!!!!!!!
