using iphone when running

using iphone when running

Is it ok to do this? Typically, I put it in my pocket when I run. Will the extra vibration mess up the flip feature on the phone?

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

The iPhone has Flash storage so not a problem. There is an armband available specifically for the iPhone.

I run with mine every morning with no problems. The flash memory is safe.

I do wish it supported my Nike+ sport kit though... 😟

(and yes, I have already suggested this improvement to Apple)

I do some limited running, a lot of step-ups and squat-thrusts w/ my iPhone strapped to my arm and hooked to my belt. No problems yet.

when I saw flip feature I am talking about the sensor that detects when the phone is on its side in apps such as safari. I wonder if the extra vibration is damaging to this sensor or what ever it is

I run with mine often! The iPhone works well, the headphones are a bit iffy. If sweat gets in the mic portion of the headphones the mic seems to stop working. The rest is great.
