How do you change your name in "My Settings"

I don't believe it is possible

Just tried, and I couldn't locate a way.

Well after being in Witness Protection I would suggest changing your name... hehe

I have never seen a way to do this, I dont think its possible

Marie, I don't think this is possible anymore. About 2 years ago we were ioven the opportunity to establish a permanent name. The grace period was short. Have not read announcements that there has been a policy change.

iTunes is your answer. YES! iTunes... edit your info on your account in iTunes and it should work.

i just tried it and it is possible to change your id but it requires a change in password also. sign in, go to my settings, in my settings next to your name is change my info, go there and just follow the instructions. it will take you to a log in window, log in and go to Apple ID, then just change your name and password.

While it's possible to change the name associated with your Apple ID, you cannot change your alias, which is what you're trying to do.

To change your alias you have to make a new account. Don't think there is any other way to do this. Hope that helps.
