Export Option is Grayed Out

I just made a slideshow to commemorate my son's 21st birthday. I want to send the slide show to others. I made the slideshow into a Quicktime movie and want to send it in that format. I want to compress the movie, as it has 90 images. Instructions under Help, as to how to compress the movie, tell me I have to go to File- Export, then choose the compression options there. But when I go up to File-Export, Export is grayed out. Any suggestions? I use a Mac, am mainly exporting to people on PC's.

If you can live with a tiny caption from the company on each photo (very tiny) Talasoft makes a far easier slide to QT program called Talaphoto (free with the little captions) . The file is not big but quality is very good. If you do not have QT Pro you cannot export anything at all. That is a big part of what Pro means. If you made it in iMovie you can pick compression options there can't you?

Kirk, i am having the same problem as TIA. Maybe you can help. I made my slideshow in iMovie but upgraded to Quicktime Pro in order to cut the video into two parts (so it would meet YouTube length standards). So now i have the two parts and i want to compress each one using Quicktime Pro, but Export is grayed out. I did use songs purchased from iTunes. Thanks.
