iPhone Restore Not Working

Hello there.

Whenever I try to restore my Iphone 8GB through the itunes restore button, itunes goes through all the necessary steps, with no errors. However, it hangs on the process "Restoring iPhone Software..."

that is to say, the process just keeps going on and on, and looks as if nothing is happening. The little green bars just keep sliding across the progress bar, and I don't think it takes 30 minutes to restore it (at least it never has for any other iphone restore or ipod restore).

Any way I could do a manual restore, or make itunes do it properly? Help please.

I made an appointment at a store for tomorrow... Theres a million problems with my phone...

For example, whenever the thing goes into standby, I can't turn it back on for some reason. So, Im looking for them to replace it tomorrow. I love the phone, I treat it like a baby, and its still not working... So I just want them to replace it without that restocking BS.

Well as someone who got their iPhone replaced today I can promise you that you will NOT be getting a NEW iPhone. You will be get a refurbished iPhone. Mine looks like new, but is indeed a refurbished iPhone. My problem was a faulty antenna and the problem was intermittent. I was able to reproduce it twice at 2 differnt Apple Stores but not at my appointment they didn't care, heard my story and setup the replacement. Overall great service and the new one is working great.
