Well heres the jam, I have a high end audio firewire device that rocks....first time I used it it was like, wow, this sounds like a record, radio.

I would only be getting PT just to get strike....some say get the education version from Maudio $149 and fast track $99 and I would get timecode, but there use to be a digi translator on that version, I think this is no longer the case, so so much for that. Is there a 3rd party software that would allow export import of various types of files? OMF, Nuendo, ect?

The drum machine is 2nd to none and seems very inspirational. If I go Mbox route then I can get DV tool kit if scoring and need be.

What do you suggest! I haven't seen anything quite like STRIKE and was really bummed that LOGIC didn't come up with something similar. Hit one key it changes pattern and auto round robin so it never sounds static and stale. Very cool. Just having a hard time trying to figure out what to do for a inspirational DRUM MACHINE as well as future DV toolkit unless someone knows about DV being availble on educational discount.

How well is the new drum machine in LOGICS newest incarnation?

Thanks!
