disk utility error (16) Resource Busy

I am trying to image G5 and get the following error. "disk utility error (16) Resource Busy" I am booting of OS 10.4 install dvd. I have an external fireware drive that holds the .dmg file. I open disk utility and select the source and the destination. Then hit restore. Then I get the error. I have tried partitioning the drive, skipping check sum, and booting into target disk mode. Any suggestions?

For the "source," are you putting the disk image (.dmg) file there (not the external drive)?

For the "destination," are you putting the internal drive's disk (volume) there (not the drive)?

If YES to the above, try selecting the destination disk and unmounting it. Then remount it. If it unmounts and then remounts, it should not be busy.
