How to move songs from "untitled playlist to iPod

I was unable to move many songs from my music library to my iPod, but in the course of trying to find a way to do that, I found that I could move them to my "unlisted playlist". I presume that is progress. Anyway, my goal is still to move all of these songs to my iPod. How do I do this? I now have the selected songs in two places: iTunes music library and "unlisted playlist. How do I get them to my iPod?

Did you make this unlisted playlist?

No, you onelhave them in one place. The library.
A playlist is simply that. A list of some/all of the songs in the library.
If it's not in the library, it's not in a playlist.

How do I get them to my iPod?
Select the iPod in iTunes.
Click the Music tab. Tick *Sync music*.
Tick *All music*.

Or tick *Selected playlists* and select which playlists you want to put onto the iPod.

If all your music is in the "unlisted playlist", you don't need the "unlisted playlist". It's okay to delete it since all the music will get put onto the iPod anyway.

That looks good to me, although I've never done in that way before. In the past, the songs were automatically downloaded to my iPod as soon as I plugged it into my computer. However, before I follow your instructions, tell me if it's true that only those songs with checks in front of them will be downloaded into my iPod. Those are the songs I have selected for transfer.

By the way, I created the "unlisted playlist" file of songs only because the instructions I had been following said that to move a song from my iTunes Music Library to my iPod, I just had to drag and drop the song into the iPod icon on the left side of my screen. Doing that, of course, added the song to the "unlisted playlist" file, although I didn't know that when I started.

*In the past, the songs were automatically downloaded to my iPod as soon as I plugged it into my computer.*
If you tick All music as mentioned above, it will work like this.

tell me if it's true that only those songs with checks in front of them will be downloaded into my iPod.
If you have Sync only checked songs ticked in the Summary tab.
But I don't use that to select what I want on the iPod. I use *Selected playlists* and then add/delete from those playlists.
The only things I uncheck are stuff I never/rarely wnat on the iPos such as Christmas music or old audiobooks.

If you want to Manually manage your music, you drag from the library to the iPod.

Doing that, of course, added the song to the "unlisted playlist" file
It shouldn't unless you drag it to that playlist specifically.
