Hello, I'm new to this thing although I've had an iPod and iTunes for a couple years and never had issues purchasing music before. I've read that a lot of people can't get their purchases tonight but I'm having another issue. When I'm trying to purchase music using my credit card, it keeps saying *"This card cannot be used with the iTunes store. Please use another payment method."* When it's the same credit card I've been using for forever (without any problems) and I know it's not maxed out. I've even tried using different cards and nothing is working for me.
I had just purchased the new Nano the other day and it saved a different credit card to my account, but not even that one works... it seems I've tried everything, so what am I doing wrong?
I'm having this problem too, at first I thought they like blacklisted my credit card or something so I was going to try calling the only number they have on their website, but it's after business hours, boo!
Anyway, I guess people are having problems with iTunes so I guess I'll have to wait until later to create my first ring tone.

Same here. I had a credit from an iTunes gift card, and I was able to buy songs tonight. But I'm getting this error because a video purchase is using up my credit and requiring a credit card for the balance.
Same here in CA. Tried 2 credit cards as well when I'm not getting a network error. Apple isn't even submitting the request for approval to the credit card companies. They are having severe issues to say the least.
I just tried switching my payment method to PayPal and that worked! Therefore there is definitely a problem with the credit card processing portion of the application.
hi guys, i tried going into the store first and buying something, prompted me to review the account, then it accepted the card. maybe it's more keen when there's money on the line! hope it works for you

It must have been a problem with the credit card processing over on their end, but I think it's working now... I just tried again this morning (never had to work so hard to buy an episode of Scrubs in my life! haha) and once it took me through the Authorize this Info page it let me purchase it. Hopefully it's fixed for you guys too! Thanks for everything!
