Using Linksys Router and Firewall with iMac

New to the Mac and using my Linksys WRT54G Routher which is working very well. (Didnt get Airport as I only have one computer. What I want to know is if my firewall is still working just like it did with my PC?

The Linksys routers have a hardware firewall built-in, so it you have the routing working OK then the firewall is working OK. You can also turn on the firewall in OSX if you want, though it probably isn't necessary: System Preferences>Sharing>Firewall

I have the same Linksys Router and have the firewall switched on on OSX as well.

I have no access problems with this but double protection I suppose...

More is better!
