XS Key serial

Why not just do the faster thing and have your XSKey plugged in when you install the upgrade? It's not going to hamper your ability to use Logic 7. I think that SN's are good for Logic Express.

Take just as good care of it, as you did with L7.

Just insert the kskey and hit enter. that's all your need to do. There is no xskey serial.

Mine wanted the serial off the box, not the key (I have one of the while dongles though).

What version of logic did you buy? Full or upgrade? If upgrade it will SAY it wants that, but just put the key in and hit enter leaving the serial blank.

I will be purchasing the update LP8 from LP7. So, I need to have the XS Key inserted on my computer during the install of LP8, (I'm installing on a brand new Mac Pro 8 Core), which does not have LP7 installed.

Q1) I'm guessing that once LP8 is installed, I can remove the XS Key ?

Q2) Do I also need to insert the XS Key when updating to let's say 8.1 from 8.0 ? or is the XS Key only used for installs of LP8 ?
