I Get This Message:

You may not be eligible.

We're sorry, but we can't locate a record of your iPhone. It could be that you've entered the requested information incorrectly. If so, please try entering it again. If the information is correct, there are several reasons why you could have received this message: 1. Your iPhone was purchased at the new, reduced price and is not eligible for a $100 Apple Store credit. 2. You have not activated your iPhone. You must activate your iPhone before we can process your credit. 3. You recently activated your iPhone. It may take up to 24 hours after you register your iPhone before we can process your request. After activating your phone and receiving your activation confirmation, please return to this site to receive your Apple Store credit. For questions, please email Apple at iPhonestorecredit@apple.com. Be sure to include your name, iPhone serial number, the place of purchase (AT&T, Apple Retail Store, or Apple Online Store), the date of purchase and a copy of this entire message. Please see the terms and conditions for more details about eligibility.

When I tried to enter in my confirmation code, I put in three 7's instead of two by mistake. I got the same response. Might want to try it again.

I have tried it many times and i get the same response over and over

    Cynthia

If you've had the phone replaced for any reason,

Attempting to use the new phones serial # can cause a problem.

Resubmit using original phones serial #.

I would give them a call. If you've swapped phones, there may be an issue with the serial number. Either way, a phone call should result in you getting your credit.

I was able to get my $100 credit, but when I went to the Apple store to redeem it I get this error message:

*The balance remaining on this card is not sufficient to cover the cost of your order. Please add a second payment method to complete your order.*

I called customer service and they said "Oh, that should not happen then transferred me to the wrong department." Nice customer service!

Anyone know why the heck the Apple Store thinks my balance is zero?

    Trolls don't rate the credit.

I'm not quite sure what your comment means, but I can assure you that I am not a troll. I have been very pleased with my iPod and iPhone and was actually trying to purchase a Shuffle when I got the error mentioned in my previous post. I called customer service twice without resolution and even tried their real-time chat application. The Apple chat attendant's suggestion was to call customer service. Yay!

Received same message, but I had to change my phone number the day on activation.

When it activated the phone it gave me a phone in another location - not even in the same state. So ATT had to change my phone number.

Send E-mail to address provided explaining problem - auto reply e-mail stated response should expected with 48 to 72 hours.

Just had the same problem. I had to change my number and also exchanged the phone. When I use my present Iphone serial# and the original phone number it then goes on and says that it is sending me a code by text msg and I should enter it. I can't do that since I can't get the code. I don't have that number anymore. Sent a e-mail and will see what happens.

had a similar problem. I returned my original iphone purchased June 29th on July 7th. When I put in the serial number of my repalcement for the store credit it was showing my phone as being Apple owned. Fourtunately I still had my original phone serial number from emails to Apple. When I put that serial number in the credit process went through.

Have you received any response back yet?

I'm having the same problem. No returned phone, no ported number, no changed number, bought from AT&T store day after release, IMEI number is listed as SN on receipt, entered in true 7******* SN number, no luck, called Apple Sales, Apple Care, AT&T Business Care, and an Apple Store. Nada.

One more thing I purshased my original phone at an ATT store and the replacement came straight from Apple. Looking at my ATT receipt the serial nimber listed is not the same as the serial number on the original phone.

Had you previously sent an email to iphonestorecredit@apple.com?

Trying to figure out if they're actually doing something on their end to fix these.
