HELP - Odd blue orb

I have got this blue orb that has suddenly appeared. I can move it all round the screen and it doesn't really do anything but I wouldn't mind making it go away.

The only thing I have done different lately is connect to an external monitor.

Here is a screen shot of it

Reminds me of the bouncing ball widget. Do you have Yahoo! Widgets installed?

The original widget was for Dashboard, but it would be more obvious because Dashboard changes the entire screen.

Maybe that one is a "built-in" widget. Can you turn Yahoo! Widgets OFF from the menu?

I never use it so just sent it to the trash and erased it and rebooted...don't think its here any more.

Bring up Activity Monitor (from the Utilities folder). Show the main Activity Monitor window. Show "My Processes" and look for anything obvious, including if Yahoo! Widgets is still running.

I don't know if you all think of this but to some of us Terminal is like a whole different world that I guess I probably don't know what its about or want to. So when people say do this or that in terminal its almost like brain surgery !!
