Wow Mark, thanks to you my site is up again! I had no idea I could copy it over in this manner. I will keep my eye on this thread for a solution to the publishing problem.

Thanks for posting back--glad you are up and running.

When all else fails you can publish this way; but of course, you will lose some of the .Mac features by publishing to a folder.

Excellent job with your site.

Go figure, all of a sudden publishing using iWeb is working again!

That's outstanding.

Now that you have successfully published from iWeb, and you have all of the .Mac features in place, (assuming you were using them), drag the Site folder back off of the iDisk again. You will now have a ".Mac" published version of your site for backup. Just file it away in a safe place.

From now on, consider updating your site by changing out only the updated files. Here's a recent post on it:

Just kinda started working.

I'm guessing this is something Apple fixed serverside.

If they fixed something, it's broken again. I've been trying every five minutes for the past hour - still no luck. An error occurred while publishing file “/Web/Sites/Sites.rss”. Try publishing again later.

Kevin, great looking site. Really neat. How did you get those buttons on top of the first page to show which page you are currently visiting by having it show a slightly darker grey when clicked? Did you use something other the iWeb to do that?

---HOWDY----I had same error an hour ago but i changed the order in the nav list by moving the only page i added to an album up to and directly under the album heading so i had the album with a pink color and my new page directly under it as page 1, also pink. Next, i published to .mac,NOT PUBLISH ALL, and only waited a reasonable time, as there were 6 songs to add. All is now well again!

I cheat. I use a different button on the current page which is not beveled and is a little darker.

This is obviously a problem with the mac servers -- this suddenly started happening on a friend's mac this week, so I opened iWeb and tried changing my own site and got the same error on my computer.

This needs to be addressed here, by Apple, and NOW. Why do we have to handle all their technical support????

Except that I'm waiting since yesterday night for my update to be published, trying again and again...

You probably had some luck, but I am under the impression you are the only one who could succeed...
