Here's my mac mini. It's full of dust inside.

How can I clean it?

I don't know what the recommended way of cleaning the mini is, never claimed to know. I'm just saying what I did. You said that all this would do is cause the dust to collect on the internals of the machine. I responded that after cleaning my mini this way 4 or 5 times, and then later opening up the mini, there was no accumulation of dust whatsoever. If I offended you, damfair, I apologize. I didn't mean my previous post in an aggressive way, though rereading it I see that it sounds aggressive. I'm sorry.

Most people would take offense at being called crazy. Myself I would have had the top off and blow the dust off the insides and from the inside of the vents, however some people are less inclined to do things like that. I have always believed that it took a bigger person to apologize than it did to take offense at another's remarks, so I stand corrected and humbled by your ready response!

Instead of using canned air (that just blows the dust further inside your mini) use a vacuum cleaner to suck the dust out. Don't open the case, simply put the hose near the openings on the bottom of the case. Some vacuum cleaners have special soft rubber ends for their hoses. I use this (i believe it lessens static electricity and the chance of scratching the case).

This method works fine with my mini, I have done it weekly for 2 years.

Best Regards,

mait.
