Can't create raid set

Hope someone can help.... I have a new MacPro with 3 Seagate 700.10 500GB drives that I am trying to create a Raid Mirror with 2 of them and can't seem to get Disk Utility to allow me to drop the disks on the window to create the Raid Array.
They are each partitioned as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) partition with GUID Partition Map.
No matter what I do I can't get them to drag into the RAID set window in Disk Utility...
It is making me nutty... Any ideas?

Sometimes a restart was needed. You aren't the first with a problem like this, but it is difficult, and also rare, too. Not consistent.

I wonder if this is a Seagate-thing? or because most would be running 10.4.10 now (if it is a bug in Disk Utility and 10.4.8 which came out nearly a YEAR ago, I'd be surprised its still around... maybe a reason for another OS update like 10.4.11).
