I have a MBP C2D 17inch, 2.33 ghz with 3 gig of ram. The newer version now upgrades to 4 gig of ram. Is it possible to do the same with mine?

Power Mac Quad G5, Macbook Pro C2D 17in 3gig, iMac G4 17inch, iBook G3 turqoise, Mac OS X (10.4.8), Finally got a Macbook Pro!!!!!

It might void the warranty. Some have reported that it's possible, but performance gains are admittedly unclear. I wouldn't, if I were you, go above the board's specifications.
