Grouping regions on different tracks

Assign them to the same group - in the group option selct "edit" as an option (you´ll find the group switch above the fader in the channel strip)

Is there any way to group regions WITHOUT having to open the mixer each time? (ie: like other DAWs? rubber-band select regions > then CTRL-G or something like that?) That will save 5 steps...

and do the regions reflect if they're grouped or not (ie: with an icon or something beside the region name?)

Little yellow numbers above the Channelstrip fader display the grouping of tracks with regions on them. The regions themselves don´t display the grouping.

I think what the OP is perhaps asking for is to be able to group SOME regions on track 1 with SOME regions on track 2, etc. which is not possible with this method, which groups tracks therefore affecting all the regions on the tracks.

I'm still not sure why grouping regions needs to be linked with channels?
