Wont verify my yahoo mail account

Is this a free Yahoo account - acquired/set up before the iPhone was available and the free Yahoo Push-IMAP account for iPhone customers?

If so, Yahoo prevents accessing a standard free account with any email client for U.S. residents.

Not sure if you can convert such an account to a free Yahoo Push-IMAP account provided to all iPhone customers so I'd check with Yahoo about this.

Try setting up your existing free Yahoo account on the iPhone as a Yahoo Push-IMAP account.

Go to Settings > Mail.

Select Add Account.

Select Y!Mail or the Yahoo Mail selection at the top.

Enter your Name, current Yahoo email address, current password for this account and your chosen description or account name for the account.

Not sure why you can't connect to YouTube - on occasion the same happens to me but I retry and all is well.

About your YouTube problem, is your iPhone unlocked or is it on ATT?

When did you acquire this free Yahoo account?

And did you select Yahoo! as the account type when creating the account on the iPhone?

And with which other email client on your computer or on another device do you access this free Yahoo account?

If you are unable to access this free Yahoo account with ANY other email client, what I provided is true.

I acquired the yahoo free email address about 7 weeks ago which is right after I bought my iPhone. Yes, I did select yahoo as the account type on the iPhone and just entered my user id and password and it verified my account and its worked fine ever since other than the push email doesnt work well. The only other place I access my free yahoo email is on my home pc using I.E. or Safari browser.

In fact I just right now created another free account just to test it out and I was able to set it up on my Iphone without a problem.

Then what I indicated is true.

Yahoo provides a free Push-IMAP account for iPhone customers only that can be accessed with the iPhone's email client and via webmail using a browser ONLY. You cannot access your free Yahoo Push-IMAP account with another email client on any other computer or device.

The same for a standard free Yahoo account. Yahoo prevents accessing a standard free Yahoo account with any email client for U.S. residents.

Well let me ask you this question. Do you think it is possible to create a new e-mail account and then add your other Yahoo! Mail accounts in there as well??

Also, the link I provided earlier states you can add an e-mail account already set-up with Yahoo.
