Cannot remove songs from "Recently Added" playlist

I love to use my "Recently Added" playlist and I accidentally added a CD twice into that playlist and it now lists doubles of every song but it will not let me remove any of the songs from the playlist. And if I uncheck or check the box next to the song it will apply it to the copy of that song as well thats in the playlist...if anyone knows how I can remove the doubles of the songs on my playlist, I tried going into Edit and Cut or Delete and those options arent available to select.
