How do I make itunes my default player

hi,

go in the iTunes preferences (menu edit -> preferences) and then select the Advanced tab. there you can check the box called "Use iTunes as the default player for audio files".

I don't see that option in the Mac version. A friend of mine downloads an mp3 and it opens in QuickTime instead of iTunes. I can set the FileType Helper in Firefox but can't figure out how to do it in Safari.

What about Mac?

In the Finder, select an mp3.
Control (or right) click and hold the Option key and select *Always open with ...* and select iTunes.
