iTunes Store down?

Is the iTunes store not working? Everytime I try to access the store I get the following message:

iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store
Make sure your network connection is active and try again

Now the funny thing is that one of the podcasts I subscribe to downloaded automatically. Every other network/internet function of my MacBook is working fine.

MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz and PowerMac G4 867, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Now that's just crazy talk. I'm sure the iTunes Store will be back up soon. Besides - if the Store truly is down, it's down for PC users as well. My concern is that this problem might stem from the latest iTunes update. I hope I'm wrong.
