iPhone, simlock and T-Mobile (de)

Hi.
Just wanted to express my discontent about introducing the iPhone in Germany with a T-Mobile simlock.
1.) Simlock überhaupt.... ok. probably discussed to exhaust.
BUT
2.) Why T-Mobile? Who ever had to live with the quality of service (esp. support, tarifs, most of which can probably be considered monopolism related legacies in the company-structure...) that not only i expreienced (i know of not one early adopter who is still customer of that company), will probably have a lot of 2nd thoughts of buying an iPhone now. I certainly have.
phew... ok. thats out.
all the best.

Same song was sung here about the iPhone being carrier locked with AT&T in the U.S. but the iPhone has done relatively well by all accounts regardless. Apple has some requirements/demands regarding the iPhone which all carriers are unable or unwilling to play ball with.

It is what it is - there will be those that don't like this provider but there will be many that do. Apple cannot make everyone happy which is impossible for anyone or any company.

Just the nature of the beast. There have been complaints about AT&T, O2 and T-Mobile being selected in the US, Brittan and Germany respectively.

Unfortunately you are forced to either accept it and get an iPhone or rebuke it and go with a different cell.

As the old saying goes, "You can't please all of the people all of the time."

Hi Allan.
In the end you're right i guess. It's about business after all and i fully understand that. It's just that my confidence in the former german monopolist has suffered a lot in the past. So i will probably wait and see how T-Mobile does and keep my confidence that apple is the user friendly company i know and appreciate.
