Networking my macMini

This is a dumb question....
I have an older macMini (G4), purchased prior to the Airport rollout. I currently have a wireless network with my mini as the host computer connected to the a D-Link wireless router via ethernet. I would like to have my mini go wireless as well. Is this possible without purchasing a Airport Base station?

Inquiring minds standing by...
thanks

If the Mac mini has an internal card or external device which is capable of any of the 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g protocols, it can connect to any base station which uses that protocol. Products based on the draft 802.11n specification may not be compatible with each other. The AirPort base station is no different from third-party base stations in this respect.
