Help! The "genius" at the Apple "Genius Bar" cannot figure this problem out
Hello All,
Yesterday all of a sudden my 60GB Ipod stopped playing music. All of its funtions still work (scrolling, games, options, controls, etc.). The problem is when you select a song to play the green "play symbol" is displayed, the song/album/arist/album artwork is displayed but the song does not play and the timer remains at 0:00. You can fastforward and rewind the song, it just will not play.
Today I took the Ipod to the Genius Bar at the Apple store near my home and the "genius" working there tried everything that I had tried at home(restarting, restoring, running the internal and external diagnostic tools, etc.) but to no avail. He told me that he "had never seen this problem before" and was quite perplexed about it. Before I take Apple's "generous" 10% discount on a new Ipod I was wondering if anyone in this community has had this problem and knows how to fix it.
