very very very slow

Yes mine is TAKING FOREVER. I have no idea either. It is simple pages that I am trying to open to just some small pictures pages. What is going on.

I even called Apple and they confirmed there was some "issue" going on. What I found most amusing was that he said if in a MONTH if it was still slow to call them back. I just laughed! I am debating whether I should move my blog. Oh well we will see.

Yes. Me too. VERY slow loading all day. And now I can't publish. Keep getting the "Error while updating .Mac" (and a Publish All doesn't fix it).

No its the World Wide Web. I was on my PC at work, Internet Very slow. Also at home on my PC, Internet Very Slow. Something is going down.

I have the same problem. However it's unlikely to be the entire web as it's a series of servers on millions of different connections. It's more likely that you experience a coincidental slow speed at work and with your home ISP. Or if you looked at the same sites at work and home and they are on a server that is running slow, then you will get the same slow results regardless of the speed of your connection.

It's not the entire web. It's just .Mac. They are having problems. Got this info from AppleCare.

No more slowness for me!!! I have faithfully used .mac even before it was .mac it was iTools and was free. Apple is great and I own everything from an iPhone to laptops and iMac, however, there is one thing that apple can not do well and that is hosting!!!!!!!! Got sick of complaints from clients and decided to switch to 1 and 1. My sights load so fast it is almost sickening. I went from 10 to 15 second load times on a cable connection, to we are talking literally milliseconds in some cases now. Unless Apple makes some sort of change alot more will be leaving .mac. Chris I would love to get some advice from you on who you switched to. Can you still use your iWeb 08 if you are with someone else?

Yes. Just publish to a folder then use Fetch to transfer to ftp site. Super easy. This is my workflow now:

1. Get Multisite if you have more than one site, then u can break down each site and save huge publish time.
2. I then use website maestro, which reduces my file and image sizes.
3.Then I use Fetch to place on there server.
