This happens to me every time I update my Itunes software. It's the only software I've ever seen that does this.

But don't worry, Itunes is there, but your shortcut points to the old version, which was deleted. Go ahead and delete that shortcut, then make a new one: Just go to the Start Menu, All Programs, ITunes, and drag the Music Disk icon to your desktop. That new shortcut points to the proper file that runs Itunes. Personally, I prefer to drag it to the quick launch task bar across the very bottom of the screen, but either way will work.

It's a minor pain, and I swear the apple programmers do this to annoy Windows users! 🙂

I have the same issue as this. Even if I try and update or uninstall I get the same error. "windows installer...the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable...click ok to try again, or enter an altirnate path to folder containing the installation package 'itunes.msi' However if I put a CD in my drive it Starts iTunes.
