How to convert sound to loop without losing tempo?

Everytime I try to convert a sound to a loop with Apple's loops utility, the new "looped" sound runs slower or faster, I jus't can't get to keep the original tempo to the file. I was wondering if anyone could give me some guidance.

Thank you.

in that case its probably an issue where the beats and bars are set wrong.

this can make the beat seem slower or faster because it actually plays the beat in half-time or double time for example.

try adjusting the number of bars in the loop and see if that helps.

usually the utility is able to accurately guess this for you, but sometimes it fails.
