Can you combine iMovie projects into ONE PROJECT?

I edited a movie of just moving pics in three different iMovie projects. Now that I have finsihed all of the segments I want to combine them but i cant figure out how to it.

I even tried the copy/paste method but for some reason it would not copy the audio?

How do you combine imovie projects into one project?

Could you not export two of the projects full quality, then import them into the third project?

In imovie 06 if you simply wanted to copy clips between (and this is a dodgy way to do anything) you can crtl-click the project "show package contents" adn in the 'media' file you will find the raw clips.

If you dragged these to the same folder in another project and opened up the project - these would appear in the bin and can be dragged out.

Why would anyone do such a bizarre thing?

Well considering an hour's footage runs into the tens of gigs - one may lack either the time, will or disc space to duplicate files of that gravity.

This may work in 08 - but i haven't tried it. The lack of dual audio timelines and chapter markings is keeping me in on 06 for the time being.
