Ipod Nano keeps on ejecting after syncing with Itunes and pc

Hi

Im having a major issue with my ipod nano continously ejects itself off my itunes and my computer so its not even being detected. Currently I have 4 usb 2.0 avaliable slots, all work I tried it with my other devices around my house to see if there are similar effects....none. I also tried it with my 1st genereation ipod to see if it ejects itself after its done syncing, and it doesnt eject itself. So I guess the question is.... what can I do? And is anyone else having similar issues? And yes I currently have sp2 on my winxp pro with all the updates done and I am running the current itunes 7.4.2

Does your iPod still show in iTunes after it's completed syncing? Try enabling the iPod for disk use, this will keep it mounted after it has finished syncing. Connect your iPod and when it appears itunes click on it's icon to bring up the Summary tab in the main pane. Check the box "enable disk use" and click Apply to save the setting.

Something to remember about using an iPod enabled for disk use is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. In that case use the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray on the desktop and check this link for alternative methods: Safely Disconnect IPod

Ok excellent, now my ipod is staying in sync since I selected enable disk use and manually manage movies and music. Now I have a new dilemna, When I try and upload movies to my ipod now, I'm unable to because apperently .wmv is an unsupported format.... I dont now if that sounds fimilar, but does the new nano only accept certain movie files to be uploaded?
