backlight out!

I purchased my ibook in July, and suddenly the backlight has gone out. I am looking to replace the backlight, screen,or entire display? I have never dismantled an ibook, but I visited the ifixit website, and I feel confident that with time and patience, I can do this. Since they only discuss display replacement, and not screen removal, I suppose the easiest fix would be to replace the entire display though the case is in minty condition. Any recommendations? Also, if I attempt a screen swap, which screen should I be looking to buy...LCd 03L5040, LCd 03L5030, or something else? I can not seem to find this information. Is there anything I should be aware of when purchasing a screen only, such as cables, etc?

Thank you Duane; I am going to start with the least complex fix and replace the entire display. Since I have never dismantled a laptop before, I have to see how far my technical skills will take me. I'm a 53 year old female, and I haven't soldered since High School, so I will need practice before attempting a CCFL replacement. I am still wondering if anyone knows the part # for the screen, without having to dismantle mine.
