    Just for clarificatio purposes. ORB and UXM both have to be up and running on your main PC in order for it to work while on the road...correct??

    Yes. And you need to make sure that you have access to the necessary ports from outside your local network. there are details on the orb website for port numbers etc. post back if you have further questions.

    I am able to listen to XM on my iphone, but I keep loseing a signal. This happens even when I have all my signal bars on my phone. So about every 10 seconds I haft to hit the play button. What can fix this??

    Are you streaming over the EDGE network? If so, it probably can't keep up with the data transfer needed to stream the audio.

    EDGE is definitely slow...I have this problem sometime. My solution is to press pause immediately, let it sit and buffer for about 1 or 2 minutes, then press play. That way you aren't listening right on the edge of the buffer, but a few seconds behind it. Its kind of like CD-Skip protection...but for streaming music. Make sense? If that doesn't work, check your firewall settings on your ORB PC, and make sure you are getting a good upload speed on your modem. That should help some as well. Remember, the quicktime buffer saves everything it reads, so if it starts to buffer or stop, just scroll back to the beginning. Cheers!

    Thank you so much for posting this!!! I added all my favorite Sirius channels and I was able to get Howard on my iphone!!!! I followed the instructions (except added Sirius, instead of XM) and it works just like you said. It does hang a little bit like 10-20 secs before the little play button shows up, but all and all it works great.

    I dont know what happened, but today its not working... Orb is saying that port 80 isnt accessible, but I have that port open. ??? What happened? It worked last night.

    I had this working a few days ago and now it says "this movie could not be played" ? I have tried several times? anybody else having problems?

    how funny... mine was saying the same thing. But now... randomly its working again. I dont know what happened, but its working again. May be a network problem? BTW.... totally rocks. I am going out of town tomorrow, and I will be able to access photos, music, etc from my computer at my house from my iphone! GENIUS!!!!

    Hi there,

    I have followed all of the steps and keep getting the error message that my computer does not have the required codecs. I go to the Orb codecs download page and have downloaded almost all of the codecs with no success...any idea exactly which codec needs to be installed for this to run Sirius? I use a XP machine.

    This is normal. You can't use voice at the same time as EDGE.

    Hey guys. Yes, this is legal (both in that it doesn't pirate XM/Sirius and doesn't unlock your iPhone). As far as codecs go (I got an email with the problem in it), I am not exactly sure why it wouldn't work...make sure you have the latest Windows Media Player, and that your Orb settings are set to use quicktime (not at my PC, so I don't know the exact menu setting). If there's still a problem, try reloading all of the media codecs like quicktime & windows media player. Any other problems, please post. Thanks guys.

    Thanks for the info Varick.

    I reinstalled the codecs, installed the WMP 11 and still get the message. I went in to configure Orb settings and did a check on Port 80 - it claims the port is not accessible and that I should check my firewall settings. I can't seem to figure out how to check the firewall settings.

    I would appreciate any help.

    Hello, I have been following your recommendations but I am in trouble now, I have no computer experience, just got the iphone this week, I will appreciate if you help me. Thanks.

    Download an install uXM (to the PC). Click the settings button and enter your email address and password you use to stream xm online.
    Click start. (I did all the steps and I am getting this message)

    00:44:07 - Unable to login.
    00:44:07 - Please check your settings.
    01:21:56 - Logging in to XM...
    01:21:57 - Login successful.
    01:21:57 - Loading channel lineup...
    01:21:57 - Unable to load channel lineup.
    01:52:30 - Logging in to XM...

    Click Open Application.
    Click Audio.
    Click Favorite Channels under internet radio.
    Click the 'add custom' link that is on the top of the page.
    **Type in the xm channel name.* I don't know the channel name or path, please help. Thanks. Zucarina
