Slow Finder & Minolta Dimage Scan 5400 II

My finder was dead slow these last few days.

Upon checking library/application support/ I saw that the folder for my Minolta Dimage Scan 5400 II
was creating and deleting a new file 2-3 times a second... too quick for me to make out the name.
I moved that folder out of /library/application support/ and without restarting the problem was solved. The finder is as quick as it used to be.
