Changing length of 1st and 2nd endings in score editor doesn't work

Hi,

Having worked with the score editor in Logic Pro 8 for the first time, I noticed that I'm not able to change the length of the 1st and 2nd endings repeat signs. Although the manual explains how to do this, it doesn't work for me.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
